Chris Weiss President

As co-founder and president, Chris has been with DCS since its inception and in less than a decade has built the company into a leader in electronic patient-reported outcomes. While Weiss’ career and education background are based in information technology, his roles at DCS cover virtually every aspect of sales and solution development.

Chris has more than 30 years in IT and business management, in both industry and consulting, including long-term assignments at GE, Arthur D. Little, and Accenture. He holds an AB in Computer Science from Dartmouth College.

When not focused on promoting the value of patient-reported outcomes and growing DCS, Chris enjoys spending time with his family, comprised of DCS co-founder Lisa Torrey Weiss and their two teenage daughters. Chris is a devoted Boston sports fan, an amateur cook, a jazz aficionado, and a recreational tennis player.

Morrie Bailey EVP Business Development

As executive vice president of business development Morrie Bailey leads the company’s efforts in identifying and creating new partnerships with customers. Morrie’s experience and leadership have been instrumental in DCS’ growth from a small start-up to an industry leader that counts major health care organizations across the country among its customers.

Morrie has spent more than three decades in business development, finance, consulting and general management with start-ups and rapidly growing public and private IT, and financial services companies. He was educated in psychology, marketing and finance and holds a BA from Amherst College and an MBA from the Amos Tuck School of Business Administration at Dartmouth College.

Morrie and his wife Anita live near Boston, MA. They have two grown “boys” (one married with their first grandchild) and a college-bound daughter. Both Morrie and Anita sing with an a cappella group and their church choir. In addition to time with family, various charities and winter skiing, they spend as much of summer as possible at the family home on a lake in western Maine.

Uwe Heiss Vice President RAD

Currently the head of RAD (research, analytics and data), Uwe has taken on many entrepreneurial roles at DCS since the company’s inception. Among the many valuable contributions Uwe has made to the success of DCS are the acquisition and value-driven growth of a strong client base, the development of the Computerized Pain Drawing (CPD) – now used at over 20 medical centers across the United States – the inception of a patient-reported benchmarking network, and the prototyping and clinical impact assessment of new care models.

Uwe has 15-plus years in health care as an entrepreneur and as a consultant with The Boston Consulting Group and McKinsey & Company. He has an MS in Chemistry and Industrial Management from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich.

Uwe enjoys traveling the globe with his tri-lingual family. When at his home he loves exploring the beautiful mountains of Vermont.

Lisa Torrey Weiss Co-Founder, Product Development

Lisa’s main role at DCS is that of product strategy, shaping the product road map and company direction by identifying emerging health care trends to take advantage of new opportunities. Not one to simply react, Lisa actively contributes to how health care is delivered and measured not only through her contribution to DCS, but also as managing director of health collaborative implementation at The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice.

Lisa is an advisor to the University of California’s ATHENA project, a large, novel initiative aimed at improving breast cancer care and research. Working with all five University of California medical centers, Lisa led a multidisciplinary team in defining patient-reported data requirements for breast cancer patient cohorts. She continues to provide strategic direction for the design and development of their ePRO platform and advises sites on the workflow design and implementation at their cancer centers.

Lisa has over 20 years of project management experience focused on process improvement enabled by information technology, including positions at GE and Arthur D. Little. She earned a BS in Computer Science from the University of Michigan and an MBA from the Tuck Business School at Dartmouth College.
